Rotary Has Heart Project
On February 13th, the Rotary Club of Sint Maarten-Mid Isle made a donation to Safe Haven Foundation, which is a safe house for women who are abused.
Present for the donation were President Grace Linger, District Governor Elect Louis Wever, Foundation Chair Wayne Wilkie, Immediate Past President Aernout Kraaijeveld and Public Image Chair Anjali Manek.
Shelley Gordon, who is the representative of Safe Haven Foundation was present to accept the donation of: 2 standing fans, 2 tea kettles, 4 bathroom mats set, 1 microwave and 4 (sets of 2) standard pillow cases
The items were purchased at Shams, special thanks goes out to the Shams team for being so accommodating!
Also, on behalf of the Club Members, President Grace presented Shelley with two roses for the two women who were currently staying at the shelter in light of Valentine’s Day.
Safe Haven Foundation expressed their gratitude and thanked the Club for their continued support to the women and children at the shelter!
