Past President Millicent de Weever does Virtual Storytelling for Kids!
For Basic Education and Literacy Month, The Rotary Club of Sint Maarten - Mid Isle collaborated with The Philipsburg Jubilee Library to do Virtual Storytelling for Kids, which will be shared on social media this month!
Charter Member and Past President Millicent de Weever read an African Folktale called “Anansi and the Turtle”. The Anansi the Spider stories teach the consequences of making bad choices, and it is often told in a fun way to keep children engaged.
The Club was ecstatic to have Past President Millicent join this collaboration as she loves reading to children at the Library and was doing it routinely until Covid-19 affected the Island!
