Christmas packages for Seniors and the Bishop Ellis Foundation
Annually the Rotary Club of Sint Maarten- Mid Isle collects non-perishable items in the month of October and November. In December they donate the collected items to those in need in our society.  On December 4th, 2021 the Rotary Club of Sint Maarten- Mid Isle, donated Christmas packages to twenty-three seniors living at the Red Cross Building in Belvedere, and several boxes with non-perishable items to the Bishop Ellis Foundation from the St. Martin of Tours Parish. This year once again the packages from the seniors contained fresh produce and hygiene products, to encourage healthy eating and maintain good hygiene. The presentation was done while singing Christmas carols to bring some Christmas cheer.

Present at the presentation were President Wayne Wilkie, Service Projects Chair Grace Linger, District Secretary Anjali Manek, Vocational Chair Russell Bell, Rotarian Reena Manek and Prospective Member Natalie Humphrey and son Colin. The Parish Priest Adam K. Oleszczuk SVD, collected the goods on behalf of the Bishop Ellis Foundation.

The seniors and the Bishop Ellis Foundation expressed their gratitude for this thoughtful gesture.

A big thank you to the community of St. Maarten, Rotarians, and friends of Rotary and Tony’s Air conditioning for generously donating the much-needed items, cash contributions and manpower. On behalf of the Rotary Club of Sint Maarten- Mid Isle, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous 2022.
