On 12th August 2025, we had Guest Speaker Past Assistant Governor Marcellia Henry speak about Membership Matters!

Past District Governor Louis sang the birthday song in many languages for Grace, Amanda and Gail’s birthdays! 🎤 🍰
Past Assistant Governor Marcellia was our guest speaker and she spoke about Membership Matters.
The presentation was very informative and interactive!
There are 1.3 million Rotarians worldwide and about 2,519 Rotarians in District 7020.
The benefits of inducting new members in the club are:
- Strengthen the club with new talents, skills and volunteering resources
- More Rotarians to help with funding and partnerships
- New Rotarians also helps build greater credibility within the community
Adding more members to the Club also means there can be more Rotarians who can serve at the Club, District and/or Zone levels!
Rotary provides for the most basic needs which are fellowship and long lasting friendships.
It’s also recommended to do a membership survey within your Club to see what needs to start, stop or continue doing. Also it’s a great way to check in with members on whats going well with the club or not.
We also had Past President/ Secretary Jon speak about our Club dues!
President Esmeralde spoke about the upcoming Karaoke event at Aziana Restaurant on 23rd August. And that it will be an Each One, Bring One event!
17th August is also Russell and Altagracia’s 49th Anniversary!! 🎉
President Esmeralde also mentioned that the District Governor is visiting St. Maarten/St. Martin / Anguilla / St. Barths on the 22nd of October until 31st October. And encouraged all members to come out that week. Our Club will be hosting the District Governor this year and the committee is headed by Past District Governor Louis!
President Esmeralde presented a certificate of appreciation to Past Assistant Governor Marcellia for her wonderful presentation!
Towards the end of the meeting Gail (the wife of Wayne W.) was given a token of appreciation from both President Esmeralde and Immediate Past President Yvette!
Gail has been a huge support to the Club and we appreciate that she opens her home to us for every occasion.
Gail is there for every event and we are so grateful for her commitment to the Club and for her friendship!
Amanda received a gift for her birthday (which was on 12th August)! And, for joining the current Board as the Wellness Chair! 🎉
