On August 18th 2026, our Guest Speaker was our very own Rotarian Esme, who spoke to us about Membership!
 
President Grace gave a few announcements - next week Tuesday we will be having a Zoom meeting with the Rotary Club of Anguilla! She encouraged everyone to attend!
 
She also informed us that the Club donated $600 to J&IS for their request to buy uniforms and school supplies for kids in need.
 
Fundraising Chair Wayne spoke about the Club putting donation boxes in the different establishments on the island! These funds will be used for our projects
Special thanks to Tony from Tony’s Airco in Colebay who already started collecting funds in the box for the Club! 👏💪🏼
 
Membership Chair Esme spoke about the fellowship we will be having on 29th August by D’s Restaurant in Beacon Hill! Guests pay $30 per person (doesn’t include drinks) and the dress code is casual and we look forward to having a fun and enjoyable time! ✨
 
Wellness Chair Ruth introduced Guest Speaker Esme! 
 
Membership Chair Esme’s presentation was engaging and very educational! She spoke about the Rotary Clubs on the island need new Rotarians and membership matters:
- Strengthens clubs
- Supporting The Rotary Foundation
- Developing leaders to serve 
- Building friendships and fellowship
- Membership attraction and retention strategies 
 
Ways that members strengthen clubs:
- Broader ideas and perspective talents and skills
- Expands volunteer resources
- Creating greater dedication within the community
- Enhancing fundraising opportunities 
 
As of July 2025/2026 there were 1.26 million Rotarians Worldwide!
 
And there are 2,519 active Rotarians in District 7020!
 
Being in the Rotary Club helps in developing one’s personality, social skills, speaking skills and people skills!
 
She also encouraged the Rotarians to go on rotary.org to learn more information and to go to the Learning Center and do the courses 
 
President Grace encouraged members to join the service projects this year and said she expects at least 90% participation!
 
Towards the end of the meeting, President Grace presented Guest Speaker Esme with a Certificate of Appreciation! 
 
And, also did a symbolic handover of the check for the Baby Project which we donated $1,200 to the Rotary Club of St Martin Sunset!
