During our weekly meeting on Tuesday September 22nd, we had Alisha Brookes from Excellence Learning Academy as guest speaker. Alisha is the founder and director of Excellence Learning Academy Foundation.
Their purpose is to provide quality education for students from the Pre-K – Grade 12; who are diagnosed with educational disabilities, making them ineligible for the traditional school system.
These students are diagnosed with various disabilities and not limited to:
- Diverse learning disabilities
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- ADHD
- ADD
- Dyslexia
- Dyscalculia
- Down Syndrome
- Students who need an IEP
 
Excellence Learning Academy is providing appropriate learning activities, educational guidance, and student developmental training to students through our special education programs. Students will gain knowledge by having experiences of interacting with peers through practicum assignments using the best Education curriculum and various active technological learning
applications.
One goal is to partner with organizations to create an environment where their students along with other students and persons can create partnership of
fun and great energy.
At the end of her presentation, Alisha was presented with a token of appreciation on behalf of Mid Isle.
