Following the hurricanes experienced in 2017, sports activities on the island experienced many challenges with damage to the sports facilities and loss of sport material. in light of the challenges, Club President Denise Antrobus contacted the Education, Culture, youth and Sport Ministry's Department of Sport to assist.
It was determined with the Department and the National Sport Institute that the foundation responsible for the execution of sports and the management of the various government owned sport facilities needed assistance in the form of sport materials that could be utilised by the schools and organisation that utilise the facilities .
