Guest speaker on Vocational Service in Rotary
 
At our weekly meeting on Tuesday January 19th, District Vocational Services Chair PAG Mario Smith was our guest speaker. PAG Mario explained that
Vocational Service is one of Rotary’s Avenue’s of Service and is defined as the way that Rotary fosters and supports the application of the ideal of Service to the pursuit of all vocations. He also shared the focuses of Vocational Service:
  • Adherence to and promotion of the highest ethical standards in all occupations, including fair treatment of employers, employees, associates, competitors, and the public.
  • The recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations, not just those that are pursued by Rotarians.
  • The contribution of your vocational talents to solving the problems of society and meeting the needs of the community.
 
Furthermore, he shed some light on;  the Code of Conduct, Rotary Classifications and Vocational Service Projects.
At the end PAG  Mario was presented with a Certificate as a token of appreciation for sharing such valuable knowledge with us.
