23rd August 2025
Karaoke Fellowship
The Rotary Club of Sint Maarten-Mid Isle had a fun karaoke fellowship at Aziana Restaurant by Bobby’s Marina, which was an Each One, Bring One Event! Where Rotarians were encouraged to bring a Guest to the fellowship.
President Esmeralde and Assistant Governor Elisia did the honors of inducting two new members to the Club - Thomas Roggendorf (who was a former member of our club) and Stefano Ryan Truideman!
Thomas was sponsored by Past District Governor Louis and Ryan was sponsored by Treasurer Tony!
Also, Immediate Past President Yvette sponsored two Paul Harris Fellows for Alec Harris and Josiah Lamothe. Alec's passion for music prompted him to go into teaching music, both for adults, but mainly the youth.
He created the "Pitch Perfect Music Academy" and served as assistant principal of Clay Montessori Academy, coached the island's Football Federation and World Coaches International and volunteered at the K1 Britannia during and after the COVID pandemic.
Josiah is also a passionate community leader who has dedicated his life to uplifting others in Sint Maarten. Through his years at K1 Britannia Foundation he worked closely with young people, guiding them through mentorship and life-skills programs that gave them hope, direction and confidence to pursue their goals.
In 2025 Josiah co-founded the RISE Foundation which empowers vulnerable families, mobilize young professionals and unite community partners. We congratulate Alec and Josiah, our newest Paul Harris Fellows.
And, Past President Quincy was pinned by President Esmeralde for his position on the Board as Membership Chair!
The Fellowship was super fun! There was wonderful fellowship, lots of dancing and singing! 🎶 🎤 💃🏻 🕺🏻
It was a memorable night, enjoyed by all!
(Special thanks to Past President / Secretary Jon for providing most of the information for this post!)
